What exercise burns the most body fat?

Being in the fitness industry for over 20 years I get asked this question a lot. Fat loss is a bit complicated as it needs to be addressed multi-factorially. However the simple answer: do whatever exercise you enjoy and move everyday. If you enjoy long walks in nature, go for it! If you enjoy long distance running, go for it! If you enjoy short distance sprints, go for it! If you enjoy burpees and battle ropes, go for it!

For me, I’d rather 30 minutes of moderate intensity over 15 minutes of super high intensity. I love my moderate intensity runs. Ahhh, nothing better than being on the Fort to Fort trail, listening to my fave tunes, and enjoying a steady happy pace for about 30min or so. Same for my strength workouts, I love a good mix of challenging but doable Pilates and barre workouts that aren’t super exhausting, just the right mix of hard and fun. This has been the same since my 20s, 30s, and now in my 40s, I have never liked HIIT.

This makes me consistent where I exercise every day performing exercises I like and find satisfying.
