Pilates Life Studio Policies
A warm welcome to the Pilates Life Studio! We are so glad you are here!
We have several studio policies that are important for each client to read over before committing to come for sessions. This will help keep each client's experience here at the studio a positive one. After reading the policies, if you have any questions or concerns, please use the connect form below. We'd love to know your expectations for us at the studio.
We also have a list of helpful etiquette rules to ensure all sessions are enjoyable and meaningful for all participants. These rules will also help keep the studio in good working order.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read the policies. See you at class!
Studio Etiquette
Here at Pilates Life Studio, we have several etiquette guidelines so all clients can have the best experience possible:
1. Treat all equipment with respect and care. Some examples:
* place the sitting box on the carriage gently (please do not slam down)
* pick up the sitting box with two hands using the handles (please do not slide across floor)
* only wear sticky socks or bare feet (please leave outdoor shoes in hallway on shoe rack)
* only wear clothes with no buttons, snaps, or zippers (please check before attending your sessions)
* put your drink containers on coasters (do not put on equipment)
* make sure springs are unloaded before letting go (have the carriage or pedals at stopper so springs are not stretched)
2. For your safety, pay attention to your instructor’s directions and stay mindful while participating in your sessions.
3. Wait until your instructor begins the class before using the equipment.
4. Turn off all cell phones and/or other electronics that may cause distraction.
5. Avoid wearing artificial fragrances while attending sessions here at the studio.
6. Your instructors will use hands on queuing to help you achieve proper form. If you are uncomfortable being touched, please let your instructor know.
7. Be kind and respectful to staff and fellow participants at all times. Harassment or rude behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated. Immediate cancellation of services will result.
8. Respect your neighbour and avoid talking negatively when performing exercises. Let's be empowered to move!
It is important to us here at Pilates Life Studio that all clients have a great experience at the studio. If etiquette guidelines are not being followed, I will connect individually with that client to see how to make everyone's experience a rewarding one.
Private Session Policies
Private sessions are purchased in packages of 4 (weekly) and 8 (twice weekly). One time intro offer of 2 sessions is also available. Payment is required during booking of your appointments. All packages have a 14 week expiry.
To purchase Private sessions, head to the Pilates Life Studio Punch Pass scheduling system. Before purchasing a private session package, please connect with Amy to see if available session times work well with your schedule.
Private Cancellations: we require 24 hours minimum notice for any cancellation. All cancellations outside of this time frame will be marked as a late cancel, and that class will be counted as being used. In addition, text Amy letting her know of your planned absence. There is one exception to this rule: snow days. All class cancellations are done by the client through the Pilates Life Punch Pass scheduling system. Log in, find the class on the schedule you are unable to attend, and click "move or cancel reservation" button.
Illnesses: if you are experiencing a fever and/or have a significant cough, please cancel your upcoming session on the Pilates Life Punch Pass scheduling system, and stay home to get well. If you have a negative COVID test, no fever, no other symptoms, and have a very minimal cough you are welcome to come in. It is highly recommended to keep your mask on during the session if you are in the recovering stage of your cold or flu. Please note: if cancelling before the 24 hour time frame, that session stays on your pass. However, if cancelling with less than 24 hours, a session on your pass will still be counted as being used because that time slot was being saved for you.
Private Late Arrivals: sessions start on time and always end on schedule. We do not extend session time if client is late. Traffic, important calls, or other unforeseen circumstances are totally understandable. It's always best to try to come in on time to maximize your session's benefits.
Private Silent Mode Cell Phones: when you arrive at the studio please put your cell phone on "silent mode". Because you are participating in private sessions and not inconveniencing other clients, you are welcome to take important phone calls and/or texts when you deem necessary. Please note: we will not extend scheduled session end time.
Private Refunds/ Transfers/ Expiry Dates: all passes and memberships are non-transferable and non refundable. Expiry dates can not be lengthened.
Membership Policies
Memberships include standing reservations where clients are booked into the same session(s) every week, so that clients won't need to worry about getting into their preferred session times. This brings better results because of higher level of consistency.
Memberships have many benefits over drop in passes, like lower prices, preferred session times, and consistency. Due to those convenient bonuses, we have several firm policies that are important to agree to before committing.
For information on how to sign up for a membership, head to the Pilates Life Studio Punch Pass scheduling system.
Auto-Renewal: Memberships are charged based on a 4-week billing cycle. Your pass will become active upon your first class attendance and is renewed every 28 days on your credit card.
