Private (1:1) Pilates Equipment Sessions
Movement is the essence of life. And our bodies were designed to move.
Pilates Life Studio respects the original repertoire created by Joseph Pilates, while using kinesiology to apply modern scientific understanding of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, psychology, and neuroscience to human movement and function. Pilates is a proven system to change the way your body moves and functions, helping every aspect of your life.
Depending on your needs and goals we focus on building strength, endurance, coordination, balance, flexibility, and core stability.
You have the option to solely practice the Pilates method, or to add other evidence-based resistance training modalities.
Homework exercises will be assigned to enhance what we do at the studio.
1:1 Sessions are PERFECT for
Some Pilates exercises originated as rehabilitation techniques. The equipment allows for progressive resistance and injury support. Graded exercise is key to restore strength, range of motion, and control to your muscles and connective tissues. The equipment allows you to develop optimal movement patterns and increased strength. Pilates-based rehabilitation is so adaptable that it allows us to work with any spinal or peripheral joint condition/injury.
Exercise is the closest thing to the elixir of life. To increase our health and to decrease our mortality rates the national exercise guidelines recommend 2-3 weekly whole body resistance training sessions. Pilates equipment provides graded resistance using springs. Strength training builds muscle and increases balance, coordination, control, and flexibility. Numerous scientific studies demonstrate that exercise decreases chronic pain. The key is being skillfully guided through progressive overload. The tissues become stronger and more resilient over time.
Most cases of chronic pain respond well to exercise. For pain sufferers, the national exercise guidelines recommend maintaining normal activity levels—within pain tolerance—for best healing outcomes. Pain is a complex experience with many factors influencing the intensity and duration. Lifestyle and cognitive factors also contribute to the sensitizing of pain. Pilates equipment sessions bring body awareness to gradually undercover your unique symptoms and movement patterns.

Private (1:1) Pilates Equipment Pricing
During private sessions you get your trainer's full attention to maintain proper form and to flow at a pace appropriate for your abilities. You receive a personalized training program adapted to your needs and goals. You also receive homework exercises, depending on your goals and needs. Private sessions are ideal for maximizing the effectiveness of your workout and is definitely the best and fastest way to increase your performance.
I work closely with your health team (chiropractors, massage therapists, and physiotherapists) to help with chronic pain and injuries.
Package of 2 50 minute sessions = $120 ($60 per session)
First session includes:
1. thorough movement assessment to investigate your unique movement patterns
2. comprehensive goal setting
3. nutritional guidance (if desired)
4. introductory workout on all pieces of equipment.
Second session includes:
50 minutes dedicated to the 100% personalized workout that fits your body, abilities, and goals
Package of 4 50 minute sessions = $300 ($75 per session)
Package of 8 50 minute sessions = $580 ($72.50 per session)

Commit to a regular day and time each week, which is the best way to see improvement with a consistent workout schedule.
Within the membership model you are guaranteed the same session day and time every week.
Memberships are charged based on a 4-week auto convenience payment.
If you can't make your usual session day and time, you can switch your session to another available time within your current 28 day billing cycle. This switch needs to occur 24 hours before your scheduled session.

Our current studio at 208 st and 72 ave has two Pilates equipment work stations for Privates (1:1) and Semi-Privates (2:1).
Our new commercial studio space will be conveniently located within the Willoughby Town Centre at 208 St and 80 Ave. and we will offer small group training with a maximum of 5 workstations focusing on individual attention of all clients as well as a separate Private studio room.
We have several studio policies that are important for each client to read over before committing to come for sessions. This will help keep each client's experience here at the studio a positive one.
